Three young musicians from Johnson City, TN made their way to Savannah for a Saturday night performance at The Sentient Bean, and I’m glad they did. Jill Andrews, Sam Quinn and David Richey present a quirky, but timeless style of music. Claiming influences as disparate as David Bowie and Buck Owens, The Everybody Fields writes and plays original tunes one might refer to as Old Time Country. Prepackaged Nashville it is not. Sam and Jill are gifted singer-songwriters who take turns playing bass and guitar. David is the dobro master, who also takes his turn at the mic. While the majority of the material was original, they did manage to slip in some covers, notably songs by Commander Cody and The Beatles.
